Home Assistant Green tying together smart switches, plugs and the thermostat, with automations on top.

My smart home runs on Home Assistant, hosted on a Home Assistant Green box.

  • Devices: smart switches and smart plugs, plus a Nest thermostat.
  • HomeKit Bridge exposes the Nest thermostat to my iPhone.
  • Automations use the Tuya integration.

Debugging tip: when a device didn’t show up in the automation entity picker, Developer Tools → States was the fastest way to see what Home Assistant actually knew about it.
